Matt is a Client Director at Imperium, primarily based in the Basingstoke office while also working across the wider UK business, including London.

He is a seasoned tax professional with broad experience advising both UK and international private clients. His expertise spans a wide range of UK tax matters and client types, including business owners, high-net worth individuals, non-domiciled individuals, and non-UK residents.

Prior to joining Imperium Group, Matt was a Director at a London-based firm, where he rose quickly through the ranks. He played a key role in expanding the private client tax team and introducing operational efficiencies to help the team remain agile amid changing tax landscapes—while ensuring continued compliance and quality of service.

Clients are at the heart of everything Matt does. He focuses on building strong, trust-based relationships and delivering advice that goes beyond numbers—offering practical, holistic solutions that make a real impact on his clients’ lives.

A key part of Matt’s role includes the development of new and existing business, including developing relationships with key contacts and intermediaries as well as working closely alongside the wider Imperium group to provide UK services to overseas clients.

A keen sportsman and lifelong rugby enthusiast, although he has now hung up his boots after a number of knee injuries. He now enjoys playing golf and spending time along the coast near his home in Bournemouth.
